Each bed and the Inn has a feather-bed and makes for a fantastic nights sleep. The soaps in the room are made with certified organic extracts. The breakfast at our Inn in Maine is a fantastic start to your day. Using mostly organic ingredients, you can create your meal from a list of items on our menu. We welcome guests to have as much or as little as they like. There are items for vegans, vegetarians, gluten-free, diabetics and even those that choose a raw diet.

The courtyard on the side and back of the house are yours to relax in while you await your next Camden adventure. Our property has been used for many private parties. The grounds have gardens, Maine landscaping. We have a nice table with umbrella that you might choose to do take out one night and just sit in the yard with a bottle of wine.

The guests from Windward House come from all over the world. The sailing in Penobscot Bay is said to be some of the best sailing in all of the world. The waters are calm and the wind on the water can be fast moving. The views from the water are stunning. Most of our guests, if not going out on an over night trip on a boat, choose to go out for the sunset tours on the local Windjammers. The local Windjammers, Sailboats, transport you to a different time. The water is calm, the wind pushes the boat out into the ocean, if you are lucky, no motor is needed. You can bring your own beverage with you and don’t worry, the boats have bathrooms on board. The captains are each unique and have interesting stories about their boats and their childhoods around boats.

When you come back from sailing, hiking, shopping, dining, wine tasting, running, kayaking, swimming or just reading in the beautiful library, you will be happy arrive back at a historic home that always has a snack available in the living room and a hot water machine that you can help yourself to tea or hot chocolate anytime of the day. Our Hot water machine stays at 210 degrees, the perfect temperature for the perfect cup of tea. Bring your own selection of tea or choose from the teas we have available. Enjoy the tea in your bedroom, living room, the second floor deck or the courtyard. The rooms at the Bed and Breakfast are very comfortable. 3 of our rooms have their own private decks, Chart Room, Quarterdeck and Brass Room.
