The guests from Windward House come from all over the world. The sailing in Penobscot Bay is said to be some of the best sailing in all of the world. The waters are calm and the wind on the water can be fast moving. The views from the water are stunning. Most of our guests, if not going out on an over night trip on a boat, choose to go out for the sunset tours on the local Windjammers. The local Windjammers, Sailboats, transport you to a different time. The water is calm, the wind pushes the boat out into the ocean, if you are lucky, no motor is needed. You can bring your own beverage with you and don’t worry, the boats have bathrooms on board. The captains are each unique and have interesting stories about their boats and their childhoods around boats.

Our Hot water machine stays at 210 degrees, the perfect temperature for the perfect cup of tea. Bring your own selection of tea or choose from the teas we have available. Enjoy the tea in your bedroom, living room, the second floor deck or the courtyard.
