JULY 3RD – FAMILY FUN DAY On Friday, July 3rd the Camden Parks and Recreation Department is working with a variety of community groups to present a Family Fun Day at the Ragged Mountain Recreation Area. Beginning at 9:00 AM there will be fun and games and entertainment for people of all ages. Here is the schedule:
9 AM One-Pitch Softball Tournament. $125/team or $15/person. To benefit the Littlefield Orphanage in Malawi. Contact Reed Brower to sign up 691-3510.
9 AM Dog Agility Fun Run with Thom Lambert. Demonstration for all and $5 entry to take your pooch through the paces or try it with one of Thom’s trained dogs.
10 AM – 4 PM Chairlift rides for hikers, bikers & picnickers. $5/ride/$20/unlimited rides for bikers.
10 AM Children’s Mountain Bike Race – free for 12 and under
11 AM Pet Parade and Coolest Pet Trick Contest – free. Prizes awarded. 11 AM – 2 PM Barbeque Noon Ragged Mountain Recreation Area Redevelopment Committee – update 12:30 – 2 PM MOJO Jazz Quartet plays on the lodge deck
1 PM Guided Mountain Bike Rides
2:30 – 4 PM MOJO the Mondaynite Jazz Orchestra 18 piece big band plays on the lodge deck
All Day: Volleyball Games, Face Painting, Canoeing on Hosmer Pond, Hiking, Mountain Biking
9 PM Fireworks over Camden Harbor/ Camden Windward House 1 block from FIREWORKS
