Available Wine Offerings:

Pinot Noir, Prosecco, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot blend, Moscato d’Asti

Foris Pinot Noir $16.99

Tasting Notes: The 2008 vintage was distinctive for being a little cooler than usual. For Pinot Noir in the Rogue Valley, that’s a good thing. And as the fruit was harvested, we became excited that the vintage had the potential to be outstanding, with a lot of careful tending to the details in the winery. The wine exhibits fragrant fruit notes of blackberry, boysenberry and cherry with lots of spice. Five Spice, lavender, sandalwood and the aroma of a loamy cedar forest are quite forward. Well integrated French oak and fine tannins are a bit firm on entry, yet will become more voluptuous over time. The wine straddles the stylistic fence between being a forward, pretty, feminine style yet with enough structure, dark fruit and spice character that veers towards a more masculine style.

Sleight of Hand Spellbinder Red, Washington State ’08  $19.99

A pure, expressive nose with its lovely notes of dusty cherries and red licorice. The palate brings black licorice, black cherries, brown spices, and more dusty red fruits. Juicy, vibrant, and lithe, this is far from the fruit bombs that dominate this price segment for red wine. The structure here comes from acid; there is barely a hint of tannin on the back end.

This Columbia Valley blend of 42% Cabernet Franc, 21% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Syrah (Shiraz) 12% Merlot, 11% Sangiovese

Kono Sauvignon Blanc 10′, New Zealand $13.99

Marlborough’s free-draining, alluvial loams over gravelly subsoils provide ideal growing conditions for our KONO Sauvignon Blanc. With the abundant sunshine, cool nights and a long growing season in this region, this wine is vibrant with intense citrus and gooseberry flavours and notes of capsicum and passionfruit.

A blend of fruits from the Awatere, Waihopai, and Lower Wairau Valleys gives this Sauvignon Blanc the classic Marlborough fruit burst with great palate weight and a clean, acid finish.

Critical acclaim for Kono:

“As close as it gets to biting into a perfectly juicy Granny Smith apple, with a wonderful purity and mouthwatering acidity. This is also extremely smooth, with lime peel and grapefruit flavors that linger on the finish. Drink now.”

Prosecco! Ca’ Furlan Cuvee Beatrice Prosecco NV , Veneto Italy  $15.99

Italian Sparkling perfect for celebrations and romance!

Very fresh and frothy with lemon verbena and a hint of vanilla. Notes of spiced apple and pear mix very nicely with the fresh acidity.

Perrone Moscato d’Asti Sourgal (small format bottle) $12.99

Slightly sweet and sparkling!

A lightly sparkling Italian wine, Perfect for sipping or as a light desert wine, known for its extraordinary lusciousness, vivid fruit, soft mousse and captivating perfume.

Elio Perrone Moscato d’Asti Sourgal is a beautiful expression of the Moscato grape from the appellation of Asti in Piedmont. Because of its delicacy and dependence on perfect balance, great Moscato is hard to make, and only a few producers have mastered the craft. One of these is Stefano Perrone, who has quickly emerged as one of the region’s stars. In the words of Antonio Galloni for Wine Advocate, “Stefano Perrone remains a reference-point producer for Moscato.”

Elio Perrone Moscato d’Asti Sourgal is golden in color and lightly sparkling (frizzante.) This slightly sweet sparkler of 100% Moscato offers a delightful nose of raisins, violets and spice. Medium in body with perfect acidity and balance, it delivers intense flavors of raisins, sultanas and spice. Luscious, long and sweet, it cleanses the palate on the finish.

Gritty’s Best Brown Ale  $4 per Bottle

Smuttynose Winter Ale (Portsmouth N.H.)              $5 per Bottle

Just to show we’re not Maine-centric and can I.D. good beer, we traveled all the way south to New Hampshire for this awesome beer. And no, get your mind out of the gutter, it’s named for an Island, and no, I didn’t choose it for the label.  A Belgian style with a great balance, perfect with Ducktrap smoked oysters or a Camden Deli Lobster Roll.

Allagash White (Portland Maine) $5  per Bottle

I had a guest last October from Altanta, and the first words out of her mouth were, “do you have any more of that Allagash?” This is a refreshing Maine interpretation of a traditional Belgian Wheat beer, Brewed with a generous portion of wheat and spiced with coriander and Curacao orange peel, this beer is fruity, refreshing and slightly cloudy in appearance.
