Breakwater Vineyards Owls Head Maine

Maine’s newest vineyard and winery located in scenic Owls head! http://www.breakwatervineyards.com/ Owls Head is a short drive from beautiful Camden Maine. This is just one of the many wineries you can try while on the mid coast of Maine. Since it is new, I have not tried it yet myself, so if you have, please let me know. If I ever get a day off from Innkeeping, I am headed to Owls Head to try the wine and enjoy the coastal views!

Oyster River Wine Growers

A wonderful example of a small family owned hand made product in Maine using organic and biodynamic methods to produce their wines. Brian and Allie Smith purchased the 57 acre farm in Warren Maine in 2007, and have planted three and half acres of vines. Try the “Villager” White.
Oyster River Wine Growers just opened a tasting room/ farm market on Rt 1 in Thomaston Maine in a little pink building on the corner of rt 131.

Sweetgrass Farm Winery & Distillery

This is a must stop for Fall Foliage touring as well as our Wine Trail guests. It is only a 25 minute drive from the Camden Windward House B&B in Camden Maine.

Savage Oakes winery is carrying on a 200 year family tradition. Situated among wild blueberry fields, Savage Oakes winery in Maine, grows nine varieties of cold hardy hybrid grapes.
They offer tastings for their hand-crafted wines that include their locally grown grapes and also the wild blueberries.
They offer a visitor their vineyard to picnic in, and permit visitors to see their farm animals -, so if you are traveling with children, they won’t feel left out.
