room rates & reservations

We always guarantee our best available rates when booking directly through our website.

Room rates vary seasonally and are based on single or double occupancy. Rates are subject to Maine lodging tax and include our complimentary made-to-order breakfast.

To confirm a reservation, a deposit equal to one night's lodging or 50% of the total reservation cost — whichever is greater — is required at the time of booking for each room reserved.

The remaining reservation balance will automatically be charged to the card on file fourteen (14) days prior to arrival for individual reservations and thirty (30) days prior to arrival for group reservations of five (5) or more rooms.

By confirming a reservation, guests authorize Camden Windward House to process all applicable reservation charges according to these policies.

Prime season weekends may require a two-night minimum stay. Certain holidays and special event periods may require longer minimum stays.

occupancy policy

To preserve the peaceful atmosphere of the inn and due to the historic nature and layout of the property, all guest rooms accommodate a maximum of two (2) adult guests.

Camden Windward House is unable to accommodate children or additional guests beyond the stated occupancy limit.

Reservations arriving with additional guests beyond the permitted occupancy may be refused check-in or required to leave the property without refund.

Any misrepresentation of the number of guests staying in a room constitutes a violation of reservation terms and may result in immediate termination of the reservation while remaining fully charged and non-refundable.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, and cash payments.

Individual Reservations

Reservations canceled 14 days or more prior to arrival will receive a refund of the deposit minus a $35 processing fee.

Within 14 days of arrival, reservations become fully non-refundable and the remaining reservation balance will automatically be charged to the card on file.

Group Reservations (5 or More Rooms)

Group reservations consisting of five (5) or more rooms must be canceled at least 30 days prior to arrival to receive a refund of the deposit minus a $35 processing fee.

Within 30 days of arrival, group reservations become fully non-refundable and the remaining reservation balance will automatically be charged to the card on file.

Cancellation Procedure

Cancellations are only considered effective once notice has been provided directly to the innkeepers and written confirmation of the cancellation has been sent by Camden Windward House via email.

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your trip investment against unexpected events including illness, family emergencies, weather disruptions, airline interruptions, or other unforeseen circumstances.

By confirming a reservation, guests acknowledge and accept all policies of Camden Windward House.

check-in/check-out

Check-in is available between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Arrivals outside of standard check-in hours may be accommodated with advance arrangements made directly with the innkeepers.

Please provide your estimated arrival time when making your reservation so we may best prepare for your arrival.

Upon arrival, we are happy to personally introduce you to the home, amenities, and local area. If you prefer a quicker check-in experience, simply let us know upon arrival.

Check-out time is 11:00 AM. Late departures not arranged in advance may incur a $50 late checkout fee.

smoking & damages

Camden Windward House is a non-smoking and no-flame property. Smoking, vaping, candles, incense, or open flames of any kind are not permitted anywhere on the premises, including guest rooms, porches, common areas, and grounds.

Because smoke and odor remediation can significantly impact future guest stays, violations of this policy will result in a minimum charge of $300 plus one night's room rate, or the actual cost of remediation and related damages, whichever is greater.

Guests are financially responsible for any damage to rooms, furnishings, linens, or property caused by themselves or their visitors during their stay.

visitors & parking

Only registered overnight guests are permitted on the property, including common areas and the fire pit.

Due to limited parking and to ensure a peaceful environment for all guests, visitors who are not registered overnight guests must receive prior approval from the innkeepers.

Unapproved visitors may result in additional guest fees and/or termination of the reservation.

Registered guests are responsible for any damages or disturbances caused by their visitors.

Lost or unreturned room keys will result in a $50 replacement fee.

We are unable to accommodate pets at Camden Windward House. We are, however, happy to recommend nearby boarding facilities for guests traveling with pets.
